TEMPMEKO & ISHM 2010
Background Based
on decisions of IMEKO Technical Committee 12 on Temperature
and Thermal Measurements and CIPM Consultative Committee for
Thermometry Working Group 6, Humidity Measurements, Slovenia
will organize the “Joint International Symposium on
Temperature, Humidity, Moisture and Thermal Measurements in
Industry and Science” – TEMPMEKO &
ISHM 2010.
The TEMPMEKO Symposia have been
held regularly since 1981. Over the past twenty-six years,
attendance has grown appreciably, and the Symposium now
attracts in excess of 200 delegates from more than 35
countries.
The International Symposium on Humidity
and Moisture
ISHM has been a relevant forum for the discussion of
research, development and applications in the field of
humidity and moisture measurement since 1963. All the
previous symposia were successful and provided a program of
high quality to the participants. The programs contributed
immensely to the development of humidity and moisture
measurement science and technology.
According to their regular schedule, the
next editions of the International Symposium on Humidity and
Moisture (ISHM) and of the International Symposium on
Temperature and Thermal Measurements in Industry and Science
(TEMPMEKO) should both be held in 2010.
A considerable number of people attend both meetings, which
makes it difficult or impossible to participate at both
events, if close in timing but held at different places. The
responsible committees, CCT/WG6 and IMEKO/TC12, have voted
with strong majorities to support the organization of a
joint event in 2010.
